dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT This paper explores if Special Entrepreneurship Support Programs promote women entrepreneurship in Kenya. A sample of 200 women entrepreneurs from five urban centres in Kenya is used to give data. The findings attributed to these data is that although there is a strong association between Special Entrepreneurship Support Programs and constraints affecting women entrepreneurs; and their population, there is no association between need of special entrepreneurship and some of the women entrepreneurs’ profile factors. Moreover, further survey does not indicate that higher institutions of learning such as universities and technical colleges provide special entrepreneurship programs tailored towards women entrepreneurs.
