Credit risk has always been a vicinity of concern not only to bankers but to the entire business
world because the risks of a trading partner not fulfilling his obligations in full on due date can
seriously jeopardize the affairs of the other partner. This study seeks to review the effect of credit risk management strategy on performance of commercial banks, a case of Kenya commercial bank in Narok town. The research design that will be used in this study will be case study research design. The design will be appropriate because the study will involve an in depth study of credit risk management and the relationship between the two variables i.e. credit risk management strategies and various factor’s determining its choice among commercial banks will be described extensively. The target population of the study will constitute all the banks employees at KCB Narok who are 45. All the 45 employees will be used for the study hence a census sampling method will be adopted. The data will be analysed using descriptive statistics where means, the standard deviations, frequencies and percentages will be computed by the help of excel computer software. The finding of the study will be presented using frequency tables and charts. The study will be of great benefit to the banking managers and other stakeholders interest in credit management. |
