dc.description.abstract This project aimed at finding out which factors contributed to road accidents recorded in Narok County between 2010 and 2016 and how they could be minimized if not altogether eliminated. The data for this project was secondary data which was obtained from various institutions such as Kenya National Bureau of statistics (KNBS) and National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). The preliminary and exploratory analysis of the data was done using Microsoft excel and R statistical package. Employing the generalized linear model led to the following tests; Durbin Watson and Breusch-Pagan test respectively. The Poisson regression model was used to model the number of accidents and also to find out if there was any association between the number of accidents and various factors contributing to accidents. en_US
