Abstract:
As a result of high rate of unemployment among youth, there is a need to find out what the youth are doing to curb unemployment. This is why this study was done to find out the factors that influence performance of agricultural youth groups. The study area Murang’a County. In this study an ex-post facto research design was used since changes in the independent variables have already taken place and had to be studied. The population was the agricultural youth group members in Makuyu sub- County. A minimum sample of 121 members belonging to the six groups were taken for the study. Questionnaires were used in the study to collect data. This data was processed using SPSS version 20 software and analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient. The findings were presented in frequency charts, tables and graphs.
