The study explores wages and their impact on employee job performance and endeavors to influence Family Bank for a consideration of a more systematic and structured approach to acknowledge employees’ efforts in terms of wages, which would in turn flourish high performance. This paper commences with the introduction i.e. background of the research, problem statement, purpose and objectives of study, hypotheses etc. and then looks into literature review and research methodology. A quantitative methodology was used for the study and subsequently, the questionnaire method was used as the measuring and the data collection instrument. Questionnaires were structured with close ended questions. A total of 54 questionnaires were distributed to respondents. The independent variable is wages and the dependent variable is employee’s job performance. This study relied basically on primary data. The data was analyzed in terms of descriptive statistics followed by inferential statistics on the variables. Therefore, there was the use of measures of central tendency i.e. weighted mean, median etc., others like the pie charts, percentages, frequencies, tables etc., and also correlation. The SPSS package was used to analyze the data. |
