Abstract:
The research was based on the effects of work-life balance on individual job satisfaction, a case study of Skyline Sacco Limited. Work-life balance and individual job satisfaction of the employees within an organization or institution is becoming a vital concern for the organizational management and thus to achieve goals and objectives. Based on the critical literature review as clearly explored by early scholars, work-life balance is an important and crucial aspect to job satisfaction of the employees. The individual job satisfaction can be influenced by several factors including flexi time, career plateau, job-related stress and employee assistance programmes.
The researcher used a descriptive design to provide results to the research problem. The researcher’s target population was 96 which comprised of employees of Skyline Sacco from which a sample size of 49 respondents was selected. Stratified random sampling technique was used since the population was heterogenous. Questionnaires were used as data collection instrument in the study. The data collected was analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative data techniques. The used method for presenting data was tables, charts and graphs. The presentation of findings were in form of frequencies and percentages.
After data analysis, the researcher gave the summary of the findings, recommendations and conclusions based on the findings, Suggestions for further study was also given for other future researchers who may want to carry out research in the same field.
