dc.description.abstract The main purpose of the study was to establish factors affecting effectiveness in tendering process in the Public sector the case of Narok County Assembly. The objective of this study was to establish how duration taken, Ethical practices, training of employees , record management and IT use affect effectiveness of tendering process in Narok County Assembly. Descriptive research design was adopted in this study. The study targeted a population of 90 Employees of the assembly and the researcher used 50 per cent of the total population as the sample size which is a total of 45 employees. A stratified random sampling method was used to pick a sample of respondents who were provided with questionnaires. The population was then stratified and the size of each stratum was then determined. Questionnaires were first pre-tested to determine validity and reliability before using them in the actual study. en_US
