Abstract:
This study aims to develop and design an on-line hotel management system for the local Hotels and Restaurants. It presents user-friendly features that will familiarize users on the online hotel system, evaluate it and highlight the benefits it can provide to the people. In order to obtain a competitive advantage, the online hotel management system has provided different kinds of room type. Due to the economic crisis, the system will focus on standard viewing so that it will be more affordable to the customer. The system will provide housekeeping service like others. Besides, customers can order food from anywhere. There are variety of food provided and there will be no extra charges for food ordering. A member registration is available for customers to register themselves as a member of our hotel.
For the payment, the customer can pay it online through Paypal or by Mpesa. Besides, customer can also pay on the spot at the hotel. Once the payment is done room reservation is done and also the food ordered is delivered with immediate effect. Last but not least, for the security purposes different types of users have different types of user have different authentication view on the website.
