dc.description.abstract Despite many struggles by Government and Food and Agriculture organization to solve the problem of food insecurity and food crises, the problem has not been dealt with in totality. Therefore there was a need to further dig into the factors that contributes to it.And in this view this study tries to establish factors contributing to food insecurity in Kenya specifically in Tiaty constituency, Baringo County. This research used descriptive approach using cross sectional survey method. The population of this study were from six wards in Tiaty in which 99 households were chosen using simple random sampling method. The data was collected using structured questionnaire and interviews. The analysis was done using statistical software for social sciences (SPSS).The quantitative data in this research was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as the mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation while regression analysis at 95% confidence level was used to determine relationship between variables. The findings was presented using frequency tables, charts and graphs. The study at end provided the recommendations on how the problem will be curbed en_US
