dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to assess the ecological and socio-economic impacts of waste plastic, and in particular the Total Area in Narok County, Kenya. The data collected was analyzed through the use of Microsoft excel. The sources of data used were both primary and secondary to ensure the success of the study. The questionnaires used included the use of close ended and open ended questions. The drop and pick method was used to collect the data. Quantitative data was analyzed through the use of Microsoft excel and the data was interpreted through use of descriptive statistics such as through use of percentages. The findings were then presented through the use of tables for easier presentation. They indicated that there were various ecological and socio-economic impacts that were being felt in the area due to the presence of waste plastics. Most of the ecological impacts included unsightly environment, increased presence of rodents and insects and contamination of water. The socio-economic impacts included death of people and livestock and increased cost of waste management. en_US
