Abstract:
This research project was conducted with a purpose of determining the effects of electronic revenue collection system on public revenue growth. A case of Kenya Wildlife Service was done. A descriptive research design was adopted and questionnaires were used to collect data from a total of 30 individuals. The questionnaires asked the respondents specific questions with an objective of determining the effects of the safari card system of revenue collection which is in use at Kenya Wildlife Service. Thereafter, the questionnaires were analyzed. The study found out that electronic revenue collection has indeed lead public revenue growth. This has been supported by the fact that there was an increase in revenue after the adoption of the electronic revenue collection system. The study therefore concludes that, any organization which is currently or has in the past faced a challenge or numerous challenges of revenue theft either through collusion or otherwise, can actually curb the menace by adopting an electronic revenue collection system.
