dc.description.abstract Despite various researches on project implementation none of the scholars have cited organizational factors affecting effective implementation of projects by Non-Governmental organizations and particularly focusing on stakeholder involvement, monitoring and evaluation, training and funding of these projects. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate organizational factors affecting effective implementation of projects by Non-Governmental organizations in Narok Town, Narok North District. Specifically, the study sought to; examine how stakeholder involvement affects implementation of projects by Non-Governmental organizations in Narok Town; establish how funding affects effective implementation of Non-Governmental project in Narok Town; find out how monitoring and evaluation affects the implementation of Non-Governmental projects in Narok Town and to determine how training and development of project implementers affects implementation of non-governmental projects in Narok Town. The study adopted a descriptive survey as the study design. The target population constituted 100 employees from different Non-Governmental organizations operating in Narok Town, of Narok County. A sample size of 50 respondents was selected using stratified sampling followed by simple random. The instrument of data collection was a questionnaire which was pretested for validity and reliability before being presented for actual study to give a clear picture on the respondents’ response to different questions. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistic and presented using frequency tables and charts. Findings from the data analysis showed that stakeholder involvement, funding, monitoring and evaluation are the organizational factors to consider in implementation of Non-Governmental projects. The study recommended that organizations to advocate training and development of project implementers and stakeholders for successful management of projects. The study is expected to be beneficial in laying foundation for future scholars and academician on similar studies on organizational factors affecting effective implementation of Non-Governmental projects. en_US
