Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to investigate the Factors influencing the growth of agency banking among commercial banks in Kcricho County. The specific objectives of the study are: To examine cost reduction in the provision of banking services as a factor contributing to the growth of agency banking among commercial banks in Kericho County, To find out the level of customer services delivery as a factor to the growth of agency banking by commercial banks in Kericho County, To assess the role of agency banking as a means to expand presence of banks particularly in remote areas in Kericho County and To determine the risk of agency banking and its relation to its adoption by commercial banks in Kericho County. The study will be of great significance as it will help financial institution to know more challenges affecting Agency relationship and take corrective measures to improve the business. The study will use a case study research design, where the target study population will comprised of all the commercial banks in Kericho County. Questionnaires will be the main instrument that will be used to collect data and then data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented using frequency tables and percentages.
