Career Guidance and Job Placement System

Abstract

In thi report I pre ent the de ign and development of a proposed Career Guidance and Job Placement System that was built using PHP, a cading Style Sheet (CSS), JavaScript and MYSQL. The ystem aim is to assist the students' select be t suitable career choice program in Institution of Higher Leaming in Kenya and help the job seeker to easily identify jobs offered by different companies and the can apply for the online. The ba ic idea of my approach was designing a model that accept KCSE result and determine the appropriate or uitable career for the student(s) based on the minimum requirements for particular cour e with the available institutions in Kenya. The re ult is shown a a list of suggested career courses that is mo t uitable ba ed on the student's KCSE re ult . The job-seeker gives their qualifications then they go ahead applying for the jobs offered by the different companies. The human re ource offices of the different companie would then shortlist the qualified candidates in various field and give a li t of hortlisted candidates.
