dc.description.abstract The development of EWS management system is clearly laid out in this document. With the support from my supervisor and other relevant parties, we were able to develop this system within a span of three months as from January to April of my fourth year time in Maasai Mara University .We develop this system for Mogogosiek Tea Factory to facilitate them for easier processing and managing of information regarding their use EWS equipments. This system is restricted to three equipments i.e. scales, printers and pdas. All the activities that were carried out during development of the system has been stipulated clearly in this document. The chapter one of this document is introduction part. This section gives us a brief introduction of the company and the challenge they experience with regards to management of EWS records. The objective of development this system is also given in this section. What the system can do and what it cannot do is captured also in these section giving us the scope of the system. A budget for development of the system is noted. hapter three is methodology. This is the way or the process followed in development of ews management system from beginning to the maintenance of it. Waterfall model is used in this system. It is a sequential process in which an output from one stage is an input to the next stage. These phases are planning, analysis, design, implantation and testing and system maintenance. hapter two is the literature review section. It stipulates related research to the topic of study. The overall use of equipments being used in institutions to systems developed to manage them is discussed. Chapter four is system analysis. This section tries to ascertain the viability of carrying out the project development. It is a data collecting stage of system development. It shows the relevance and objectives of carrying out these data collection. We used the following data collection methods in development EWS management system . • ) Interviews .:. Questionnaires .:. Existing contents Also a preliminary study finding is carried out at this stage. These findings will give us the organization structure of management of KTDA tea factories in Kenya. The systems being used in management of EWS records is studied, weaknesses noted and the feasibility of carrying on with the system ascertained. The processes involved with regard to EWS management are displayed though the use of dataflow diagrams. Chapter five is system design. In system design we were able to highlight design constraints that are likely to be experienced during the development of this system for both present and in the near future. The system architecture of EWS management system is given out en_US
