Abstract

In chapter one r have discussed the background of building the OP AS, its objectives / goals, budget, scope and limitation of using Online professional Assessment System (OPAS).Literature review and conceptual of the system is thoroughly discussed in chapter two. This chapter outlines the background information of using the Online assessment in learning institutions. It then describes briefly of the existing online assessment systems like ALEKS, EXAM 9 just to name a few. The distinguishing feature of the OPAS system is having over this systems is also clearly outlined together with the similarity that will exist. The hardware and software required for one to use the system is also discussed. Methodology used in building OPAS is discussed in chapter three, include the waterfall agile methodology and the reasons as to why the mentioned methodology was found suitable. Chapter four focuses on the system analysis and requirement modelling used in building the system. It describes how facts and data gathering was done, requirements definition and modeling of the current system. Chapter five discusses the system design. Design was split into two categories: conceptual design that involves the database schema used by the system and actual system user interface design that show how the different user of the system will interact with the system. System construction and implementation is discussed in chapter six. Factors considered and the guideline followed in the construction and implementation. Challenges conclusion and recommendations suggested when developing the system is finally discussed in chapter seven.
