First Year Laboratory Manual

Abstract

This laboratory manual has been designed for first year students taking practical physics course at the proposed to be Maasai Mara University. The aim of the laboratory sessions cannot simply be to demonstrate what has been learnt in the lectures. Most laboratory classes have neither the time, nor sufficient equipment to do this instead, the emphasis is on laboratory techniques, data analysis and the interpretation of results. This will then provide a solid basis for laboratory work in subsequent years.
