Abstract

Information Systems integration has a slow rate of diffusion and adoption. This is partly due to users and practitioners skepticism on its actual benefits. This presentation introduces a setting for this examination issue and clears up to the reader how satisfaction of the exploration points and goals will make a commitment to the sector in Narok County by integrating Information Systems. There is no standardized structure to guide how Business and Information system alignment can be improved, notably in the context In this paper, we will present some possible ways of integrating systems (integration through business processes and services) and some types of information systems used by companies as well as possible ways of integrating these systems. Strategic alignment model was used as a theoretical framework as a reference point on some businesses conducted in Narok County. The discussion starts off with a background and purpose of the research project, its scope, assumptions and then it explains the research focus and gives a brief overview of the project‘s approach towards a literature research and it elaborates the Research Methodology used. It then concludes with the data analysis, presentations and summary of the findings gotten. The results explain the importance of information systems in businesses and give a recommendation on what can be done to improve better functionality of the systems integrated.
